TODAY'S 4-MAN SCRAMBLE HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE RECENT FLOODING. WE ARE CLEANING THE COURSE UP AND HOPE TO OPEN THE FRONT NINE THURSDAY MAY 30, 2013.

THE DRIVING RANGE IS OPEN FROM 12PM - 7PM TODAY. COME OUT AND PRACTICE TO GET YOUR GAME READY FOR NEXT WEEK'S BUCKNIGHT.

JUNE 5TH: The next BuckNight will be a shamble format. Players will pick the best drives from each hole and play their own ball from that position as if it were their drive. Each player will have their own individual score. Their will be Three flights and the 1st place team from each flight will earn an extra point and prizes. We will also have some contests out there for prizes and points!

4-Man Scramble

On behalf of SilverHorn we would like to thank our weekly BuckNighters for both their competative spirit and their entertaining attitudes.

This week's 4-Man scramble came down to a three way tie for first! For the tiebreaker we did a scorecard playoff. We took the best score from the hardest handicap hole for the winner. If that was a tie we went to the next hardest hole. Here were the results:

3rd: Ed Bustamante, Hector Garza, Bill Hankins, and Scott McMurrian come into the clubhouse with a smooth 31.

2nd: Ray Barrows, Ed Nava, and Geremy Deborde take second with a smoother 31.

1st: Rodney Clark, Jason Clark, John Wageman, and Leslie Wageman shoot the smoothest 31 of the night.

Geremy Deborde outdrove the competition on the #1 tee box.
Closest to the 150 marker #3:
Kenton Stridde has the "smart shot" of the day.
Closest to pin #5:
Chad McGuffin said, "Somebody's closer!"
Closest to the Fairway Bunker #8:
Mac Amiri has played number 8 enough to know what club gets juuusssst close enough to win a prize for closest to the bunker (without entering the bunker!) Nice Shot.

May 15, 2013 2 Man Best Ball Results

On behalf of SilverHorn Golf Club we would like to thank our BuckNight participants. This week we had 39 participants dueling it out in a random two man best ball format.

We divided the field into two flights based on handicaps. 15 handicaps and below were placed in the "A Flight" and 16 and higher were placed in the "B Flight". We then paired players randomly and calculated a "Best Ball" score between the two players.

BEST BALL EXPLAINED: Players play their own ball as if playing an individual format. The team then takes the best score from each hole to get their total.

Here were the results for our 2-Man Best Ball:

"B Flight"
1st:
Few could keep up with longtime SilverHorn member Robert Sinclair Sr. and Ray Barrows.
2nd:
Ron Tackett and Warren Truesdale.

"A Flight"
1st:
Jason Clark's and Bryan Wilson's one under 35!
2nd:
The tiebreaker for second was calculated by the teams total score on the hardest handicap holes. Hedley Ludlow and Ryan Sims won the tiebreaker on hole 9 with a total score of  36.

Contests:

Longest Drive #1:
Richard Resendez smoked a drive down one to win by a few feet!
Closest to 150 marker #3:
Ryan Sims playing it smart and winning prizes at the same time!
CTP #5:
BuckNight first timer Brad Marron with the best shot of the day on #5.
Closest to 150 marker #8:
John Fitzgerald has played this hole enough times to know the 150 marker is the place to be.

BuckNight Points ScoreBoard

BuckNight Points system:

Updated points will be posted after every three BuckNight's. After tonight's BuckNight points will be posted to see who is in line for our coveted parking spot and other end of the year prizes.

Loyalty Points system:

These are different than the points on your receipt. The yellow receipt you receive upon check in shows points for our Loyalty Rewards Program. After 10 points are received you are able to get a $75 gift certificate.

After 20 rounds are accumulated you are able to receive another $75 card!

First Buck Night Results

   We want to thank our 5 teams that showed up to kick off Buck Night's 2013 Season!

There is a point given to every participant, including an extra point given to teams that place each week.

This season we have both weekly and end of the year prizes including the best wings in town every week!
